LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM

Some benefits of Lighting Control Systems:
  • Control lighting to improve room usage.
  • Pre-define the light levels for each activity in a room.
  • When people enter a room, the lights rise to highlight posters and art.
  • To begin a film or presentation, lower the lights, reducing glare on the screen.
  • Raise specific lights to focus attention at the presenter.
  • Raise the lights after a presentation to encourage conversation.
  • Define the visual presentation in a restaurant or retail store.
  • Light a path into the house, then automatically turn the lights off.
Application Preset Scenes to:
  Conference Room
Preset light to support work sessions, reduce screen glare, focus on the presenter, and support videoconferencing.
  Ballroom
Provide the different light that conferences, presentations, dining, and dances each require.
  Home Theatre
Control your lights like a commercial theater. Set overhead, aisle, and sconce lights differently for films, TV, games, conversation, and cleanup.
  Restaurant
Preset light levels for brunch, dinner, and late night. Set the time clock to fade between these scenes so staffs focuses on serving patrons, and patrons don't notice the changes.
  Retail
Focus attention on featured products. Fade between scenes as the day progresses, or to highlight specific products.

Preset lighting means greater control.

  • Create lighting scenes to meet different needs, coordinating lights and shades.
  • Press a button to switch from one lighting combination to another.
  • Sequence from scene to scene at variable fade rates: from instantly to one hour.
  • Use the lights you need, at the light levels you want, at the times you want, to improve productivity and save energy.
  • Infrared wireless remote controls put light control in your hands from anywhere in a room.

The Basics of Preset Lighting

  • Preset a lighting scene just like you preset your favourite radio station - one button for each station; one button for each scene.
  • A light zone is a light or group of lights wired together for simultaneous control by one switch or dimmer. Vary the lighting by independent zone (the lights in one zone may be on full, in another at 50 percent) to create different scenes.
  • Scenes are lighting environments created for each activity in a room, in which the light intensities in each zone are set to match the needs of each activity. Once scene might support general conversation, another might be optimal for visual presentations, another might focus attention on a teacher or speaker, and a fourth might bring all lights on.
  • Set the scenes once and you never have to recreate them again.
